Home Remodeling in Kent Island, Maryland
Kitchens, bathrooms, decks, basements and custom builds for Kent Island homeowners — from a family-owned contractor based in Grasonville.
Kent Island sits right at the foot of the Bay Bridge, and for many families it's the best of both worlds — island living with an easy commute to Annapolis and beyond. Assured Contracting Company is located just across Kent Narrows in Grasonville, so Kent Island homeowners get a contractor who's close by and familiar with the unique conditions of building on the island.
From Chester to Stevensville to the waterfront communities along the Bay, we help Kent Island families upgrade their homes with kitchens, bathrooms, decks, basements, and custom built-ins.
Building for Island Conditions
Kent Island homes face wind off the Bay, salt air, and high humidity. Those conditions are hard on decks, exterior materials, and any space where moisture can collect. We plan every project with that environment in mind, choosing corrosion-resistant hardware for outdoor structures and moisture-tolerant materials for bathrooms and lower levels.
Many homes on the island were built as summer cottages or modest ranches and have since become year-round family homes. That evolution often leaves layouts and storage that no longer fit. We help reimagine those spaces so they work for full-time living.
Decks and Outdoor Living on Kent Island
If your home has a view of the water — or even just a great backyard — a well-built deck can transform how you use it. We design decks that maximize views, handle Bay weather, and give you room for dining, grilling, and relaxing. We also evaluate and replace aging decks that have taken years of coastal wear.
Inside, kitchens and bathrooms remain the most requested projects, followed closely by custom storage for gear, coats, and everything that comes with island life.
